Hello World!

First off, thanks for stumbling upon my blog and being open minded enough to hear my two cents about life. I’m Lena Wang, a gal who lives in a swamp with stray gators. Just kidding I don’t live in a swamp. I actually live near Disney World. And yes I do live in Florida where the mosquitos, and tourists, wander freely so expect to hear me take jabs at my home state (in jest of course). But the real reason why I started this blog was to start a personal development project (PDP) that will improve my writing and photography skills, encourage more self-learning, and discover more about myself. This blog will be more photography based with traditional word only posts, and I’ll be discussing a range of topics from art, college, life advice, and more.

Here are some facts about myself:

• Photography is a big hobby of mine and all photos are taken by a Nikon D300 (unless otherwise stated).

• I’m currently taking the semester off to pursue PDPs.

• My birthdate is the unluckiest number in Chinese culture and probably the most unfortunate (“four” and “death/dead” are homophones in Mandarin).

• I refer to my birthday as “Death’s Day."

• I voted for neither Trump nor Hillary.

• Dachshunds are my favorite dogs.

• I won first place in 2013 Congressional Art Competition, got two free plane tickets to Washington, D.C. and received a tour of Cannon Tunnel, which is under the Capitol.

• My political views are libertarian.

I hope you will enjoy my posts and gain something valuable from me. This blog symbolizes the beginning of a new life for me, a sort of rebirth in the sense that I’m living a new reality and trying new things to strengthen myself. So I hope to grow and learn with you and if y’all have ANY suggestions, questions, comments, etc., please let me know! I’ll be glad to hear from you :)
