Democracy is the Biggest Scam Sold to the American People

Every four years Americans hit the polls to elect their new oppressor. We believe that there are choices and freedom when it comes to democratically electing the president and vice president, but really it’s the illusion of choice. After this election concluded, more Americans have seen democracy for its true self: according to James Madison democracy is the "tyranny of the majority." Those without a moral conscious voted against their better judgment, and voted for either Hillary or Trump despite how they truly felt deep down.
From the beginning of our schooling, we’re indoctrinated to believe that America is the land of the free and that our republican system is the most free and democratic, but in reality we’ve been electing leaders who’ve been stepping on us and could care less about the Constitution. In fact most Americans welcome corrupt leaders with open arms and allow them to take our civil liberties away from us permanently, and I define corrupt leader as one who tramples and tampers with the Constitution and our natural rights. For example, in school we are taught that our natural, inalienable rights cannot be taken away from us, yet there are laws that take away our right to life, liberty, and property: two noteworthy laws are the Patriot Act which takes away our right to be free from government interference, and the XVI Amendment which was ratified in 1913.
I would prefer that this amendment be abolished. If you still wish to give to the government (I have no problem with that opinion) it should be done voluntarily in the form of donations, not forced donations otherwise known as taxes. The XVI Amendment is unconstitutional because it violates our right to property, meaning that we have no say in where our income (both earned and unearned) goes. Income is considered to be your property because it’s in your possession, and shouldn’t you have the freedom of choice to whom you give your property? I shouldn’t be forced to fund social programs like healthcare, national defense, or welfare. It’s much better to provide for ourselves and each other than government intervention, because private businesses have the incentive to improve continuously in order to stay in business.
I claim that our form of government is a scam because we are led to believe that this next election is somehow better, but what we hear are promises and we realize they’re empty when it’s too late. Is it not insanity that the majority keep doing the same thing and expect different results? I would propose that we at least choose something other than the binary parties, such as voting for third parties or at least someone without extreme views on economic and social issues. Do you not see the hypocrisy in rallying for liberty yet viciously attack someone when they voice unpopular opinions? By this I mean, agreeing with all the principles of liberty we were taught in school, like free speech, but then doing the opposite when someone says “Government funded healthcare should be abolished” or “Food stamps and other welfare should be abolished.” This election has become polarizing because we the people have willingly traded civil liberties for protectionist policies, due to fear and the loss of faith in the free market. Let my warning stand with you: the more government you invite in, such as well-meaning programs like Medicaid or SNAP, the less economic freedom you and everyone else has. A democratic republic functions well on the premise that its citizens are well versed in both social and economic freedom. With our current government and citizens we are simply electing more kings.
